THIS PROGRAM REPLACES THE DIDACTIC CLASSROOM TIME REQUIREMENT
OF ASHI AND WILL GIVE YOUR EMPLOYEES ENOUGH INFORMATION TO OPERATE
THE AED TO SAVE SOMEONE'S LIFE. HOWEVER TO RECEIVE AND BUILD
UP THE CONFIDENCE NECESSARY TO ACT IN AN ACTUAL EMERGENCY YOU
WILL NEED TO COMPLETE A ONE HOUR HANDS ON PRACTICAL SKILL VERIFICATION
SESSION WITH A LOCAL ASHI
QUALIFIED INSTRUCTOR AND PAY THEIR FEE. (typically $25-$40).
Anatomy and Physiology (A&P) Online Package:
* A&P Training Module: The ABCs (Airway, Breathing and Circulation) of
cardiopulmonary resuscitation taught through the use of colorful animations,
audio, and text. This section is a precursor to understanding the clinical
concepts of CPR and the use of an AED.
* A&P Testing Module: Interactive, audiovisual reinforcement of basic anatomy
and physiology as it pertains to assessment, CPR, and defibrillation.
CPR Online Package:
* CPR Training Module: Interactive, audio/visual training program combining
clinically focused photographs, voice over, text, and animations designed
to instruct the student in the correct procedure for performing Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation, which is often required in conjunction with the use of an
AED.
* CPR Practice Scenarios Module: Interactive, audio/visual practice program
intended to reinforce skills of assessing when and how to perform CPR. The
student receives instructive feedback for correct or incorrect answers.
* CPR Testing Module: Through simulation of actual emergency situations requiring
CPR, the student performs the proper sequence of action necessary to perform
CPR and the use of CPR in conjunction with an AED.
AED Online Package:
* AED Training Module: Interactive, audio/visual training program combining
clinically focused photographs, voice over, text, and animations designed
to instruct all types of learners in the proper use of an AED.
* AED Practice Scenarios Module: Interactive, audio/visual practice program
comprised of seven real-life clinical scenarios utilizing all of the elements
of the AED training program, designed to build competence and confidence in
the use of an AED. The student receives instructive feedback for correct or
incorrect answers.
* AED Testing Module: Through simulation of an actual emergency situation,
the student takes a timed test requiring them to select the proper sequence
of actions necessary in a cardiac emergency utilizing an AED.
