American Heart Association 2005 ZOLL AED Plus Upgrade Kit Now Available

Q: The American Heart Association changed its protocol for shock sequence and CPR compressions with American Red Cross following suite. SHOULD YOU UPDATE YOUR AED?

A: If you don't update your AED it will still function under the old protocol. However, there are numerous studies utilized by the AHA to determine the changes are necessary. The problem of not updating your system however may not be directly related to the patient surviving but what exposure to lawsuits you might have.
